April’s Third Saturdays at 777 Mall features activations, art, music, performances, videos, workshops, zines, and other experiences presented by the Mana Contemporary Miami community throughout the afternoon and evening.
Experience art, have fun, and win stuff! Whoever Instagrams the most photos or videos taken at Mana Contemporary Miami during this month’s Third Saturdays at 777 Mall wins! For posts to qualify, make sure to tag @manacontemporary in the post and include #ManaContemporaryMiami in the caption.
This month’s winner will receive two tickets to the Interpol concert at the Fillmore Miami Beach courtesy of Pabst Bue Ribbon, plus a super-special prize package courtesy of Mana Contemporary Miami community members Dale Zine and CON_plex (CONCRETA, Orchid.FM, and Noire Age).
Also, join us at 32 SE 1st Street Miami, FL 33131, from 7 to 11pm for a special reception for Etcetera, an exhibition of work by 2019’s New World School of the Arts BFA graduates, featuring DJ sets curated by CON_plex (CONCRETA, Orchid.FM, and Noire Age). Presented in collaboration with Mana Contemporary Miami and curated by Maggy Cuesta and Fredric Snitzer, the exhibition highlights work in divergent disciplines with a focus on hybridity.

Kayla Delacerda presents work incorporating string and architecture, while musician Dennis Fuller (Donzii) presents sporadic performances of The Imbecile, with interventions by Bodymovement collaborators.

COLONIAL KALEIDOSCOPES II AND III PERFORMANCES PRESENTED BY ENMA SAIZ AND NIURCA MARQUEZ
Two Latina artists, artist-ceramicist Enma Saiz, and dancer-performance artist Niurca Marquez, present a performative response to the colonizer (played in Colonial Kaleidoscopes I by dancer-performance artist Pioneer Winter) who, along with his audience, destroyed Saiz’s Havana tile floor. In this restorative action, Saiz and Marquez attempt to build a new reality.
DISCOMOSAIC WORKSHOP PRESENTED BY SEBASTIAN DUNCAN-PORTUONDO
The first of a series of free, open-ended, walk-in workshops on cutting mirror and mosaic to make panels and other elements designed to interact with architectural space. More workshop dates in May.

Kazehito Seki is an amplified voice artist and noise musician from Tokyo. Self-Toxification is a composition of feedback loops made with a mixer and a stereo microphone that spans a range of frequencies, volumes, speeds, and textures.

Le Trash Can has been the alias of Manu Armida since 2011. Vocal-based harsh noise with semi-rhythmic tendencies from Mexico.
CALNEPUELCO (RAFAEL VARGAS BERNARD), MUSICAL PERFORMANCE PRESENTED BY RAT BASTARD AND VIDIUM
Rafael Vargas Bernard’s noise project integrates manipulated samples of field and found recordings, analog oscillators, digital frequencies, visceral vocals, generative systems, improvisation, programming, and error to create auditory experiences that disconcert, dislocate, and disorient.
EL ADOQUINAZO BY SERGI ESPINALES, PRESENTED BY YÁLE CLUB SOCIAL
El Adoquinazo asks how barriers and spaces affect the underlying power dynamics of our everyday lives, drawing inspiration from the current Nicaraguan revolution, in which paving slabs are being used to construct barricades.
TRASH/PUNK/HARDCORE/305: A VIDEO RETROSPECTIVE PRESENTED BY VIDIUM
South Florida has always been unapologetic. This retrospective revisits some of the bands that left an impact locally and around the world. Curated by Vidium’s Eddy Alvarez, it jumps from interviews to music video to live performances, exploring bands such as Shitstorm, powerhouse, Baker Acted, and Knock’Em Dead. Special guest performance at 4:30pm.

Mana Residencies Studios
Visit the studio of Peruvian artist Rudolph Castro, resident at Mana Contemporary Miami as part of a new program in partnership with Iniciativa Fugaz. Anchored by a six-week residency, the initiative provides artists with a studio, studio visits, field trips, social events, and opportunities to participate in public events.
